My Inner Dorkiness, Part Deux

Apparently, I'm getting really psyched for my copy-editing job this summer. So psyched that I keep on posting funny editing things. At least I think they're funny. Psyched and very, very bored of my schoolwork, even though I am going to miss it when it's done. No, none of this makes any sense.

Eli7-

First, about copy-editing and your mesirut nefesh which goes unrecognized, that you only get credit for the mistakes that slip through, and you are actually responsible for your teammates successes: being Yavneh president leaves me in a very similar predicament - always taking a hit for offending or not catering to some of our 300-400 undergrad members at once, and even taking credit for the mishaps of my team at times, who I always have to stick up for (as they do for me as well). It is one of those jobs where you have to do the greatest good for the greatest number, while bracing up against the lesser, louder constituents who disagree with you, pledging to address their needs separately...

Second, you should know that you do have a lot of fans and supporters here who do appreciate the work that you do, albeit anonymously. For one thing, I better convey myself in writing than in person, as my clarity in speech is poor, even though I am asked to speak in public on many occassions. I hope that we can continue to stay in touch next year and beyond (and remember to fill out your orange card!)...

LSK, I wasn't really taking good care of my blog during the end-of-the-semester craziness, but thank you for your kind words.
