Summer? Wasn't That Just Yesterday?
It is still warm outside. I can still wear flip flops. I have not unpacked my winter coat or boots or sweaters. We're still on daylight savings time. Succot is coming up.
So, I'm applying for summer jobs why??

The wind outside is ridiculous (maybe the weather is different all the way up in Harlem). I sure wouldn't wear flip flops in this weather. But, on second thoughts I wouldn't wear flip flops in any weather.

I'm with Nephtuli...and sorely missing the 70's and sunny weather I had in Silver Spring prior to returning to NYC for Succos. Flip flops in this weather? I think you're crazy! :)
Full disclosure: I didn't actually wear flip flops, but I counceivably would. I mean, it's cold, but it's not quite winter, and I would certainly don flip flops and a sweater. Anyhow, the point was that it is WAY too early to think about summer jobs. Alas, anon is right and I am a Columbia nerd who is already occupied with summer plans ;)
