Mouth Watering, but a Little Disturbing
Those of you who know me (or who read this blog frequently enough) know I like coffee. A lot.
In fact, I've been addicted to the stuff for three years or so, on and off, and with the upcoming start of the school year, coffee is on my "must-buy" list. And I can talk about coffee as passionately as the next person. (FYI, Starbucks is cheaper in DC than in NYC, which was super-exciting!)
However, this is a little bit much even for me. People, it's a drink, not a hobby, a career, or even a blog topic!

First, what's with the orange coffee on the espresso porn site? I've never had non-brown coffee, have you?
I think it's worth noting that you just found the first instance of DC beating out NYC! ;)
Lucky for me, there's a Starbucks across from the Chinatown/Gallery Place Metro which, just one block from my office, is on the way to/from my office so this will be especially useful!
(BTW-re: your comment on my blog [thanks again, I forgot the iron], my apt in DC fell through and I'll be in Silver Spring where some things are actually cheaper than NYC...I know, Silver Spring is dead, please don't remind me. The only thing is that I'll have more $ to spend on other stuff because rent is so much cheaper)
Yay Coffee!
Last year I started brewing my coffee and life is better than ever.
I've found thatDunkin Donuts ground coffee far beats out any other ground brand that I've had (starbucks, Nescafe, etc...)
Any other favorites here?
D & D makes a delicous brew, but I don't get sexually excited from watching coffee brew.
NJ- if you're gonna post links to sites like that, have the decency to put up a disclaimer.
I'm curious: Is all coffee kosher automatically (because it comes from beans, I assume)?
I don't think I've ever seen a kosher label or anything on coffee.
NewJew, regular coffee is kosher everywhere because there is no way to make the stuff ground straight from the bean not kosher, but flavored coffees, whipped cream, etc. can be not kosher. And if you look closely you'll see a hechsher on lots of coffee. (Most Starbucks coffee grounds are even kosher for Pesach.)
In fact, that's my mom's coffee of choice for Pesach!
